About

As a songwriter, Terese has been working with Jenny Berggren (Ace of base), Jonah Nilsson (Dirty Loops), three times platinum selling Danny Saucedo (EMD) and other successful artists. She has released three solo albums on her own label, Colors From My Heart, Närmare Mig (Closer To Me) and Not About The Songs. With the material from the album Närmare Mig, she was nominated as one of three for the Ted Gärdestad Scholarship 2010, one of the most prestigious songwriting scholarships in Sweden. But as the title suggests, Terese music is something other than just polished and trendy radio hits. As she puts it herself:

”Every song is a gift and it’s about real people. Sometimes a song means nothing and other times it speaks right into the heart. As a songwriter it’s not my choice but it comes with a responsibility to respect it and not to abuse it. It’s not about the songs. It’s about the people listening to the songs. It’s about you and me.”

As a part of the network "Wings of protection" Terese travels regularly through out Europe with her guitar to meet young people living in a reality of violence, drug abuse and prostitution. Somewhere in between the life in her 8m² studio in Stockholm and the late nights on the backstreets of Europe, the music of Terese Fredenwall is born.
